Find the right size

Enter your dog's chest girth – it decides the size. Back length is optional and double-checks the fit.

Size chart all measurements in cm

SizeChestBackNeckWeight (kg)

How to measure

  1. Chest girth: around the widest part of the chest, right behind the front legs.
  2. Back length: from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
  3. Neck: around the neck where the collar sits.

Measure snugly with a soft tape measure, not tightly. Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.

Sarah K. with her dachshund

My dachshund hates the cold, but with this dog coat he finally enjoys our winter walks. Easy to put on and it stays dry even in light rain.

Good quality and warm lining. Sizing runs a bit small, so I'd order one size up for bigger dogs. Otherwise very happy.

Looks great and the reflective strip makes me feel safer on dark evening walks. My Frenchie doesn't even try to wriggle out of it.

How it keeps the cold out

Three layers between your dog and winter

Short-haired dogs feel the cold fast. Three layers keep them warm, so the walk doesn't get cut short.

  • Waterproof outer shell Rain, snow and icy wind stay out.
  • Padded middle layer Keeps the warmth in on long walks.
  • Soft fleece lining Soft and cozy against the coat.

Coat vs. sweater

Why a coat beats a sweater outside

Sweaters are cozy on the couch. Out in rain, snow and wind, your dog needs more.

Blizzard Buddy Knit sweater
Rain & snow Waterproof shell Knit soaks up the wet
Icy wind Windproof outer layer Wind blows right through
Warmth Padded + fleece-lined Warm only when dry
Dark evenings Reflective strips Usually no reflectors
Harness & leash Harness opening Often no opening
Muddy paws Washable Washable

Questions? We have answers.

Which size should I choose?

Open the size guide next to the size selection and enter your dog's chest girth – it will show you the right size. The chest girth decides the size; back length and neck help to double-check. Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.

Can I use it with a harness?

Yes. The coat has a harness opening, so you clip the leash to the harness through the coat.

Is it really waterproof?

Yes. The shell is waterproof and has an extra windproof outer layer, so rain, snow and cold wind stay outside. It is made for walks in bad weather, not for swimming.

Is my dog visible in the dark?

The coat has reflective details that catch the light from headlights and flashlights – helpful on dark winter evenings.

Can I wash it?

Yes, the coat is washable, so mud and road salt are no problem. Please follow the care label on the coat.

Which colors are available?

Black, Red and Blue.
